Our specimen lake at Hurlston Hall Fishery houses a fantastic stock of Carp, some reaching over 30lb now, making it a prime spot for specimen carp fishing in the Preston area.
With several fish still uncaught this year between 27lb and 29lb, the 3os are due to come. White Tips capture at 30lb 5oz is Hurlston’s first 30. However, we know of 3 bigger.
Our Carp Fishing Pegs in Preston
We offer 10 well-positioned pegs, each giving you access to a generous expanse of water with casting distances ranging from a maximum of 19.5 wraps to shorter distances of 9 wraps in shallow areas.
Peg 10, our much-loved cabin swim, accommodates up to 4 people, allowing anglers to enjoy family outings immersed in Carp Fishing while escaping the hustle and bustle of Preston city life, with the fishing peg conveniently just outside the cabin.
Nestled within approximately 5 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, Hurlston Hall features two ponds: the spacious specimen lake (4.5 acres) and the beginner’s pond, aptly named Summer Bay, which is just under 0.5 acres and holds Carp up to 23lb. This is an ideal starting point for those within Preston new to Carp Fishing.
